Demonstrates the ability to conduct and monitor the nursing process, which consists of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. Conduct admission assessments and reassessments as indicated according to policy, procedures and standards of care. Follow admission and discharge procedures. Obtain and transcribe correctly, physician orders. Utilize nursing judgement regarding medication orders within the parameters of the physician’s orders. Document in the patient's record according to policy and procedure. Assist in the identification of patient and family educational needs. Participate in the teaching of patient and family educational needs especially related to physical issues. Plan and lead educational groups related to patient’s treatment issues. Implement crisis intervention techniques when dealing with emergency situations Provides crisis assessments under the supervision of the on-call psychiatrist. · | ||||
